SkyeTec IO

SkyeTec runs cloud environments for several clients. Over time, a familiar problem emerged: the information needed to operate well, respond quickly and make sound decisions was scattered across many different systems. Costs lived in one place. Security posture in another. Resources, applications and devices had to be pulled from yet other sources. That made it hard — both for clients and for SkyeTec — to get a clear picture of what actually existed, what it cost, and where the risk or improvement potential sat.

The problem

As managed cloud operations scale, it stops being enough for the knowledge to live in single-purpose tools, manual checks and the experience of a few individuals. Clients needed better insight into their own environments without having to understand every underlying system. SkyeTec needed a more efficient way to collect, structure and use information across clients, without each new client adding more manual work.

The problem was not a lack of data. The problem was that the data was not consolidated, understandable and accessible enough to support real operational control.

The solution

SkyeTec built a shared operational picture for managed cloud environments. The goal was to bring the most important signals together in one place: cost, security, resources, applications and devices. Each client gets insight into their own environment, while SkyeTec gets a consolidated view across the clients it manages.

The solution is built so that new clients can be added without new code or a separate rollout. Access is controlled by role and client, and data is kept strictly separated. That means the solution can grow with more clients, more data sources and more automation without a corresponding rise in complexity.

The outcome

SkyeTec gained a scalable foundation for better managed cloud operations. Clients get one clear entry point to status, cost and the evolution of their own environments. SkyeTec gains better visibility, less manual work and a more structured data foundation for further automation.

The effect is felt first and foremost in speed and precision. One concrete need — a consolidated view of devices — moved from idea to verified feature in production in a single day. That gives SkyeTec an operational foundation for managing smarter, prioritising better, and building further towards more agentic automation.

Technology

The solution is built with modern web technology, a structured backend, and an architecture that keeps data sources separate from the rest of the system. New data sources and cloud environments can be plugged in without rebuilding the whole solution. Automated deployment, test coverage and clearly defined environments mean new changes can be shipped quickly and safely.

The same data foundation that powers insight today is built to drive further automation. The structure is designed so it can grow with more sources, more analysis, and more agentic workflows without the foundation itself having to change.

How we build

SkyeTec IO is as much an example of how SkyeTec builds as what SkyeTec builds. The work was AI-centric from day one, with short iterations, continuous quality assurance, and automated tests acting as a gate before production. That made it possible to move from a concrete need to a finished feature quickly, without compromising control or quality.

SkyeTec combines domain understanding, modern architecture, and AI-centric development to solve real operational problems faster than traditional processes normally allow. That is how SkyeTec builds agentic applications: sober, practical and built to last.

"The distance from a real need to a finished, verified feature in production has never been shorter. AI-centric development lets a small team deliver like a big one." — Morten Brandanger, Tech Lead
